People in all 50 states (and D.C.) are writing Vote Forward letters

See how your state compares—and what our volunteers have to say.

Looking back on our 2024 letter writing campaigns, we’re proud to share that people in all 50 states (and D.C.) wrote letters with Vote Forward!

The same is true for our recent effort to get out the vote for Wisconsin’s state Supreme Court election on April 1: volunteers across the country wrote more than 250,000 letters to Wisconsin last month. In fact, we ran out of available letters. We look forward to sharing the results of our 2024 letters soon, along with our next campaign for 2025.

We're so grateful for Vote Forward’s dedicated community of volunteers; none of this work is possible without you all—the heartbeat of our organization. While our team continues on strategic planning for the rest of 2025 and beyond, you can take action today by sharing this post and inviting someone you know to become a Vote Forward letter writer.

Some fun facts…

  • Pennsylvania has more Vote Forward letter writers than it does Wawa locations (true by 10x!)

  • St. Louis’s famous Gateway Arch is 630 feet tall and, oddly enough, there were exactly 630 letter writers in Missouri last year.

  • The average Miami Marlins game has about 13,000 fans in attendance—our Florida letter writers would take up about 1 in 10 seats!

  • The closest Buc-ee’s to Los Angeles is 1,078 miles away—we had more LA letter writers than miles to go to Buc-ee’s! (Ditto San Francisco: 1,375 miles, but more letter writers than miles to go!)

  • Auburn and Tuscaloosa had the exact same number of letter writers this year… time to step up the rivalry!

  • There are more letter writers in Kentucky than there are years of the Kentucky Derby.

What Vote Forward volunteers are saying:

  • “I like trying to make a personal connection with someone and hopefully help convince them to vote. I try to put a little love into each letter.” – Volunteer in Missouri

  • “I’m a retired nurse and I live in a very rural red state. Writing letters with Vote Forward allows me to feel helpful and hopeful.” – Volunteer in North Dakota

  • “Writing letters helps me feel like I can control the outside world just a little bit and allows me to fight my anxiety about current events.” – Volunteer in Indiana

  • “I have a small child at home so I don't have the flexibility to go out and canvass or make calls. I can write letters when I have small pockets of time throughout the day or late at night.” – Volunteer in New York

  • “I'm an older woman who lives in a very rural area. I don't have opportunities to participate in meetings, town halls, marches or demonstrations. Writing letters is a way for me to contribute and take an active part in the process.” – Volunteer in Colorado

Help us continue to grow Vote Forward’s volunteer base in all 50 states this year.

The more volunteers we have on board, the more we can accomplish together. You can help our community continue to grow by sharing Vote Forward with a friend today.
